Albert Thompson Joins Capital Square as Vice President, National Accounts

RICHMOND, Va. (March 10, 2025) – Capital Square, one of the nation’s leading sponsors of tax-advantaged real estate investments and an active developer and manager of housing communities, announced today that Albert Thompson has joined the firm as vice president, national accounts. In his new role, Thompson will support the growth of new and existing strategic relationships with broker-dealers and registered investment advisors.

Thompson joins Capital Square with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as vice president, national accounts, for DWS, where he led the growth of the distribution network for independent broker-dealers and RIAs, cultivating strong relationships and leveraging strategic business planning skills. Previously, he was senior vice president for NB Private Capital, and director of strategic accounts at Hines Real Estate, where he was responsible for the expansion of distribution groups for independent broker-dealers and RIAs. Thompson began his career in 2002 as regional vice president, external wholesaler, for Van Kampen Investments.

Thompson, who holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24 and 63 licenses, studied accounting at Angelo State University and finance at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a recipient of LPL Financial’s Strategic Partner of the Year award while with Hines Real Estate.
