Dave Platter

Dave Platter is managing director and co-head of Capital Square’s private equity division.

Prior to his present role, Dave was executive director at the Amherst Group, where he led the private equity group for Amherst Homes, Amherst’s Build-to-Rent Division. Dave was also the co-founder of Southern Creek Capital, a boutique investment manager in the single-family rental and multifamily spaces, and had previously worked at the JBG Companies (now JBG Smith, NYSE: JBGS), where he was responsible for the development of over $500 million of multifamily and mixed-use properties. Dave began his career in the Asset Management Division of JPMorgan in New York.​

​He received his B.A. from The University of Virginia, where he double majored in economics and history, and his M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
