Natalie Mason

Natalie Mason, Capital Square’s executive vice president / co-head of development, is a national authority on opportunity zones, having overseen development projects across numerous markets, including the delivery of Capital Square’s 1,225+ units in Richmond, Virginia and a 300-unit high-rise in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Prior to joining Capital Square, Mason was senior director at Tishman Speyer, where she oversaw the financing, construction, delivery and sale of more than 1,200 residential units in San Francisco. In this role, Mason led the internal project team, implemented residential sales and marketing strategy, and was responsible for overall financial performance, coordination with design and construction professionals and the hiring of critical vendors. Prior to her tenure at Tishman Speyer, Mason spent time as project manager for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development for the Government of the District of Columbia.
Mason earned her Master of Business Administration at the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Arts at Princeton University. She serves on the Homebuilder Association of Richmond’s Multifamily Housing Committee, the VCU Kornblau Real Estate Circle of Excellence, Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s Housing Executive Committee and Smart Growth America’s LOCUS Steering Committee. Mason was named a 2023 “Woman of Influence” honoree by GlobeSt.
