“The Otis,” a 350-unit six-story Class A multifamily apartment building, fills an entire city block at the corner of Roseneath and West Moore Streets in Richmond’s thriving Scott’s Addition neighborhood. The project offers a combination of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment units with bespoke kitchen and bathroom finishes, one-of-a-kind community spaces and over 16,000 square feet of retail.

Talented local artists created four dramatic murals for The Otis. The largest, designed by Emily Herr of Herr Suites, spans half of Norfolk Street and turns the corner onto McTavish Avenue. Tim Skirven designed the vibrant space above the hospitality bar; Naomi McCavitt of Thicket Design, crafted the textured wall mural for the lobby; and Andre Shank’s modern installation pulls together the creative concepts of each floor in the main elevators.

Capital Square, in partnership with Greystar Real Estate Partners, officially opened the doors of The Otis in May 2023.
