Capital Square’s 2023 Internship Program
In 2023, Capital Square’s robust internship program expanded to include a larger group of college students than ever before.
In alphabetical order, our 2023 summer interns are Aszwan Hite (freshman, Virginia State University, mass communications major), Noah Ploktin (sophomore, University of Kentucky, finance major), Janna Scholtz (freshman, University of Florida, industrial and systems engineering major), Alejandro Castillo Torrelly (senior, Sterling College, business management and real estate major) and Sydney Whiting (junior, University of Notre Dame, finance major).
A powerful opportunity for professional growth and hands-on real estate industry experience, our eight-week, paid internship program enables each participant to spend a dedicated week in different areas of our firm.
Our rotational schedule has kept them busy:
- June 6 – June 14: Acquisitions & Transactions
- June 15 – June 22: Investor Relations
- June 23 – June 30: Technology
- July 5 – July 12: Development & Construction
- July 13 – July 20: CS Living (Property Management)
- July 21 – July 28: Accounting & Finance
- July 31 – August 1: Human Resources
In addition to their weekly assignments, Capital Square’s summer interns have regularly met with Human Resources to discuss their work and to enhance their professional skills. After their rotations are complete, they will also create their own presentations to department heads on their last day.
