Louisville: so much more than bourbon and baseball bats

Louisville skyline

You might know Louisville for its bourbon, bluegrass and Louisville Slugger baseball bats, but this Southern city has become a world-class metropolis, known for its luxury living, culinary passion, rich heritage and endless hospitality. The iconic Churchill Downs and Kentucky Derby are a huge piece of this city’s legacy, but there’s so much more to discover.

The New York Post recently named Louisville, Kentucky as one of the top ten cities for rent growth (an increase of 17.5% between September 2021 and September 2022), and this was followed by Realtor.com elevating the city to its #3 rental market for growth by the start of 2023. By the second quarter of 2023, Louisville, Kentucky had the highest rental occupancy rate in the nation, with rent growth continuing far above average (7.5% through April 2023).

Louisville has been named among the top ten places to live in the country, but the attention comes from more than just the city’s amazing park system, planned by the Father of American Landscape Architecture, Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed Central Park in New York as well as the grounds of the Biltmore Estate and the U.S. Capitol.

Louisville has multiple schools named on the U.S. News & World Report “Best High Schools in the U.S.” Plus, the greater Louisville area includes 32 colleges, universities and other post-secondary institutions. University of Louisville leads this list, with its world-wide reputation for health and surgical science research.

Great schools, a robust arts and music scene, beautiful outdoor spaces and restaurants packed with chefs among “the best in America,” all combine to make Louisville one of a kind.

Louisville is a city in the spotlight, and Capital Square is proud to offer a Louisville real estate investment opportunity that is unparalleled.

Capital Square recently acquired its second property in Louisville, Lyric at Norton Commons Apartments. Lyric is “among the nicest properties Capital Square has ever acquired,” according to Louis Rogers, founder and co-chief executive officer of Capital Square.

We are thrilled to increase our presence in Louisville, a city we’re excited to further discover.
